Welcome to RutgersX, the first business accelerator program at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
The RutgersX Accelerator Program was created by the Rutgers Food Innovation Center (FIC), a globally-recognized incubation program that provides business and technology expertise to startup and established food companies in the mid-Atlantic region, and utilizes its outreach capacity to support food and agribusinesses throughout the world. In our inaugural year of the RutgersX Food Accelerator Program, we have developed an accelerator for fast-growing food companies that have been part of our Rutgers FIC client and partner network for the past several years. We showcased these companies at our first-ever RutgersX- Accelerating Food Entrepreneurs Conference in November 2015 in New Brunswick, NJ.
RutgersX is introducing a new program in 2017, the EcoIgnite Clean Energy Accelerator Program.
The goal of EcoIgnite is to improve economic development in the clean energy sector, providing help to existing companies so they can thrive and creating new start-up companies. As we strive to achieve our goal, specific objectives we want to accomplish along the way include:
Be a model for Proof of Concept centers in the region
Hire and train interns through the course of the program
